With over 20 years of experience in the IT refurbishing industry, Affordable Mac is committed to providing high-quality refurbished Apple products at competitive prices. At the time, most of their sales were generated through third-party platforms like Amazon and eBay, resulting in lower profit margins. Affordable Mac came to TRON Media with a few separate goals. Firstly, they wanted to develop a new website which was up to date, modern, clear and concise, but they also wanted a website which would drive sales. When Affordable Mac first approached us, nearly all of their sales were generated via Amazon or eBay. This wasn’t ideal due to smaller margins when selling through these channels, so another key goal was to generate sales via the website rather than third party platforms.

The TRON Media team conducted a thorough review of the existing Affordable Mac website, taking into account the client’s key requirements. We then developed a range of initial design concepts, incorporating both our expertise and their vision. Once a final design was selected, we focused on improving the website's functionality, structure, and user experience. We simplified the website architecture and introduced clearer navigation, enhancing the overall user journey. Additionally, conversion rate optimisation strategies were implemented to boost sales from the website's launch.
THE OUTCOME
Since launching their new website, Affordable Mac has seen remarkable results, with significant improvements in SEO, user experience, and engagement, all driving a substantial increase in sales. Monthly sales have surged by over 1000% compared to the previous website. Additionally, Affordable Mac has become less reliant on third-party platforms like Amazon and eBay, ultimately deciding to discontinue these platforms in favour of focusing entirely on their own ecommerce website, where they enjoy higher profit margins.
